Health Advocacy

The Boyle McCauley Health Centre has continued to demonstrate its commitment to supporting inner city healing and wellness by creating this position on its health care team.

The health advocate acts as a resource for both the staff and clients at the centre in regard to housing, addictions, financial, and legal issues, as well as counseling services, food and clothing issues, applications for assistance, and more. The advocate assists clients beyond immediate medical need, in whatever way possible, including advocating on behalf of clients with outside agencies.

The health advocate works out of the Boyle McCauley Health centre, and is available Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
